2002 Ch. Brane-Cantenac, Margaux

Ch. Brane-Cantenac, Margaux
We were delighted to share owner Henri Lurton’s high opinion of this wine, as Brane-Cantenac has finally, in 2002, reached the quality that its Second Growth classification demands. Certainly this big, smooth, enveloping wine is as good a vintage of Brane as anyone can remember. The oak is welldefined but not obtrusive, while the compact, vibrant fruit and lively tannins melt together beautifully. Made from 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc this has good Margaux terroir too, plus a long, intense finish, thanks in part to the particularly low yields.Château Brane-Cantenac
