Bowmore is the capital of Islay and its namesake distillery nestles at the bottom of the high street on the shores of Loch Indaal. The distillery is one of the few to retain its own malting house which provides a good proportion of the peated barley used to make the whisky.

This remarkably aromatic Whisky offers trademark peat laced with warming medicinal and leafy notes. The well textured palate resonates with sooty peat-smoke balanced by fresh fruity and briny flavours. The finish is long with distinctive smokiness.Bowmore Distillery, Islay
