“Le Novaje” is the name of an old pergola (high trained) vineyard up behind the cantina that gives the Recioto its fruit. Sweet with c. 120 grams of residual sugar, aged for twelve months in French barriques, Marcello's Recioto wine displays a wonderful black cherry zippy attack, is so fresh, bright & fine, yet all the while elegant and understated. A very good value-for-money example of its type. Drinking but will keep, with meringue dishes?

Made from Corvina, Corvinone Rondinella and Oseleta grapes, picked in the last ten days of September from the vineyard "Le Novaje", a hilly vineyard (280-300 metres above sea level) located in Novaia, Marano di Valpolicella. The vineyard is the oldest of the estate (40 years old). This wine is aged for 12 months in barrique.
