The 2005 Alberdi is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Mazuela (Carignan). Medium ruby in colour, it exhibits a nicely developed and expressive nose of cedar, spice, and red currants. The 2005 has all of the charm and exuberance which one associates with this property, its characteristic elegance as warming and seductive as ever!

Light to medium-bodied, seamless, and elegant; this is a bench-mark old-school Rioja, approachable now and deceptively powerful when in the presence of rich Spanish dishes.
