Jean-Pierre Moueix (of Ch. Pétrus fame) has worked hard to improve quality here in recent years and the results have really paid off in 2005. This excellent value Merlot-based wine is as good as Pomerols two or three times its price. Displaying explosive, concentrated raspberry and ripe plum fruit, it is rich, full and firm with supple tannins and real joie-de-vivre. Delicious.
