Ch. Chasse Spleen is cool, reserved and classic Claret wine, with a terrific centre core of ripe Cabernet fruit. This has been on a winning streak now for quite a few years and the 2011 is a lovely addition.

I had some sample variation when tasting this wine, but at its best, it is a medium-bodied, straightforward Medoc displaying classic herbal and black currant notes as well as light but noticeable tannin in the short finish.
