2011 Ch. Le Crock, St. Estèphe

Ch. Le Crock, St. Estephe
The junior wine from the Léoville Poyferré stable, but a very well-made Cru Bourgeois from St Estephe. Merlot is the predominant grape here and accounts for the lush, satin texture but a 17% dose of Petit Verdot to support the Cabernet Sauvignon brings a dash of vigour, lift and acidity to the blend. Another wine which we expect to represent very good value.

Ch. Le Crock, St. Estephe
Juicy, fresh style, with damson plum and crushed blueberry notes backed by light spice shadings and a hint of anise. Slightly taut acidity underneath it all.
