Maria José, somewhat contentiously, maintains that of the trilogy of vintages from 1994 to 1996, the last one will be the best. This in spite of the great reputation of the first two years in question.. She is especially pleased with the whites; the Reserva is made up of 90% Viura and 10% Malvasia and has been aged in barrel for six years. The wine is characteristically gold, with lively aromatics of citronella, tobacco and beeswax; the palate is equally beguiling, refreshing the intellect and palate in equal measure.
