Description

A blend largely based on Chenin Blanc, which makes up 60% of the total, to which a clutch of Eben Sadie’s favoured Rhone varietals have been added, namely Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Clairette. The Chenin ensures the presence of a backbone of acidity while the Rhone varietals add weight, flesh, aroma and texture. This is a glorious wine with hints of tropical fruit on the nose allied to beeswax, lanolin and almonds, while on the palate there is a flavour of fleshy stone-fruit such as peach and apricot and a long, long finish with crisp minerality to keep it all fresh and inviting.
