La Conseillante's 2006 boasts all the finesse of a top Grand Cru Burgundy, with a heady perfume and rich, spicy, dark fruit aromas. It is incredibly fresh and harmonious, with bags of supple tannins supporting the smooth, creamy palate of intensely concentrated blackberries and crushed raspberries. The finish is long and incredibly pure. With so much tannin and structure the 2006 isn't as appealing as the 2005, although Jean-Michel says he wouldn't be surprised if it is the better wine 10 years down the line. One of the stars of the vintage. Drink: 2014-2030.
