A magnificent vintage from Mailly’s flagship wine; a classic Grand Cru blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, aged for over six years in their famous chalk cellars and sourced from their most venerable vines, some of which date back to 1938.

Les Echansons is perfectly complimentary to the more feminine, more (explicitly) ethereal Intemporelle. It is grounded and powerful, more prosaic only in the sense that it is more robust and definitive; the definitive statement from this very fine establishment. Mandarin, sugared almond and praline compete for attention on the nose, then the palate is a silky bed of luxuriant indulgence; as good a place as any to contemplate the better things in life.
