St Emilion, Pomerol, Graves & Sauternes, Tutored Tasting, 27 Sept

Tonight’s tasting is a chance to learn about the classic wine styles from these special regions of Bordeaux. Through a series of top-quality examples from famous Châteaux, Anne will encourage you to compare and contrast so that you can discover for yourself the differences between these styles.

Savour first the earthy, plummy Merlots from the plateau and slopes of St Emilion, and notice the differences as you approach Pomerol with its richer clay soils. Crossing over to the gravel soils of Graves in the Left Bank will add a third distinctive style to the tasting, before you conclude with the opulent golden nectar of Sauternes.
