An Introduction to Germany, Tutored Cellar Tasting, 10th October 2012

An Introduction to Germany, Tutored Cellar Tasting, 10th October 2012
When we use a German Riesling as an aperitif, so many of you remark how much you really love it and are then utterly surprised to learn it comes from Germany. We thought it was high time that we asked our wine guru and Master of Wine, Martin Hudson, to elucidate the key areas of Germany, showing off the best of the Mosel and other important areas such as the Nahe and Rheingau. He will also explain terms such as Kabinett, Spätlese and Auslese, as well as other terms you may have seen, like QbA and Pradikatswein. Finally he will also help clarify vineyard names such as Rudesheimer, Bernkasteler, Erdener Treppchen & Ürziger Würzgarten. Please join us for a fresh take on this dynamic wine-producing country.
