The Fine Wines of Lustau, Tutored Tasting, Friday 30th November 2012

The Fine Wines of Lustau, Tutored Tasting, Friday 30th November 2012
Emilio Lustau was established in 1896 and was initially a small family concern until the founder’s son-in-law placed it on a business footing. The firm is perhaps best known for pioneering the Almacenista system, whereby individual dry sherries are produced from small private holdings. These are bottled under Lustau’s name but with the individual bodega's name on the label as well. Today they are amongst the most sought-out sherries in the region. Come and learn how sherry is made and enjoy all the different styles as well as taking on board all the meticulous, hard work that goes into framing these wines. We proudly welcome Ignacio López de Carrizosa from Emilio Lustau to talk us though these wonderful gems, interspersed with (witty and apt) comments from our Sherry Buyer, Simon Field MW.
