Glenturret distillery is one of Scotland’s smallest and oldest, thought to have been producing whisky as long ago as 1775 and possibly earlier. The distillery is said to be the most visited in Scotland aided by easy access from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

This single cask bottling exudes rich vanilla with some apricot and intense perfume. Fruit salad and dusty jute sacks come to mind. The palate is rich in fruit, initially delicate in texture but builds well with some lovely strands of honey. All in all this is very graceful and rather moreish.
