2006 Pelorus, Cloudy Bay

Pelorus, Cloudy Bay
An aromatic citrus nose with green apple, white pepper and oatmeal biscuits. The palate is elegantly restrained giving glimpses of quince, a gentle nutty note and a refreshing lime tang. The mousse is soft yet frothy with moreish brioche autolysis, more green apple bite and a lovely long finish.

A blend of Marlborough Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the 2006 Pelorus is aged for three years on the lees and displays an impressive, biscuity autolytic character, very attractive oatmeal and brioche notes in the long finish. It also has a very low 6-7 grams per liter of dosage. Superbly crafted and with fine poise, this is an outstanding sparkling wine.Cloudy Bay
