More savoury and with licorice and blueberry notes, Zeno’s Amarone seems to achieve the impossible by being full, yet so lacy, fineboned and ethereal all at the same time! This is no bruiser though, quite the opposite in fact. It is a small-voiced companion who is not out to impress, just to make you happy. A wine that flies in the face of the conventional, fullthrottle wines of its neighbours, it is just a beautiful wine that happens to be called ‘Amarone’.
