By comparison with the Old Vine version, ‘La Signora’ is altogether brighter and mintier with soft framboise liqueur scents on the nose. Even the colour is paler, with a pretty red hue rather than the blacker Old Vine Primitivo. Back in Sonoma, this would clearly be the Lytton Springs of the range (the one with the Petite Syrah). Refreshingly slight and moreish, it is smooth, engaging, refined and downright delicious.
