The Great Huet Dinner, A Fine Wine Dinner, Friday 10th May 2013

It is possible that we use the word ‘legendary’ too much at Berrys...Tonight, however will be like letting you loose on the Crown Jewels! A selection of eight wines from the Huet family reserves and library wines dating from 1989 to 1938 will be poured at this dinner and Noël Pinguet will be present to talk about each wine, alongside our Loire Buyer, and eigth generation family member, David Berry Green. Domaine Huet is regarded as the premier producer of Vouvray in the Loire Valley, producing wines of incomparable quality from three individual vineyard sites (Le Haut-Lieu, Clos du Bourg and Le Mont) across the entire spectrum of styles from Sparkling, Dry and Medium-Dry right through to the most unctuous Moelleux. Noël Pinguet, having married into the Huet family, became the face of Domaine Huet from the 70s, a very hard act to follow from his world famous father-in-law, Gaston Huet, who died in 2002. Today, retired from the Domaine, Noël is coming over to No. 3 to present the Huet family’s fascinating spectrum of older vintages. With the help of our very excited Head Chef Stewart Turner, we will put together a well thought out menu to support Noël’s wine choices. As you can imagine we are tremendously excited about holding this event and hope you are as enthusiastic as we are.
