2012 Sancerre Rosé, Brigitte et Daniel Chotard

Sancerre Rose, Brigitte et Daniel Chotard
The 2012 is slightly deeper in colour than its usual salmon-pink, an indicator, perhaps, of the smaller yields of the 2012 vintage. Open and exuberant on the nose with lashings of strawberries and cream, it is all creamy red berries on the palate, with a hint of Pinot Noir spice and a fresh, clean finish. The wine is quite concentrated and rich this year because of the small Pinot Noir harvest, but it still possesses an impressive freshness and precision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by A Rose to die for! While I am no expert I do know what I like when I taste it - The first time I tried this wine I knew it was special. The colour, nose and then the full flavour on the palate - wow! This is a great wine for everything including value for money. I just wish this spell checker was in our English and not American English! 17 August 2013
