I enjoy pinot noir with my turkey - and you cannot find much better than this elegant red burgundy from Benjamin Leroux. Rich red fruit builds to a wonderful crescendo. Very fine.

Cuvée Brunet comes from the Teurons, Bressandes and Cent Vignes Premier Cru vineyards. The maturation in barrel and bottling has been managed by Benjamin Leroux. The nose shows great elegance while the fruit builds steadily in the mouth towards a firm, rich finish. Very impressive!

I tasted the whole range privately before the Hospices weekend; so too did Benjamin Leroux on a separate occasion. We were in complete agreement on our three preferred cuvees and in tandem with Benjamin, who has been looking after their élévage in his cellars in Beaune, we purchased several barrels of two of them: Beaune, Cuvée Brunet and Beaune, Cuvée Guigogne de Salins "
