Nose
Roses, candyfloss, slightly buttery.
Palate
Perfect balance of sherry and the malty, spicy, house character. The two elements are tightly combined, with the spicy flavours emerging slowly: nutmeg, aniseed and emphatic orange-flower.
Finish
Liquorice toffee. Mint.
Comment
Complex and sophisticated.
Michael Jackson - Whisky Magazine Issue 8 Nose
Beautifully mellow, sherryish, grassy with a little marzipan and mint toffee.
Palate
Enveloping, creamy and nutty with a teasing sherry and gentle peaty twist. Peppermint prickle.
Finish
Long, soothing, with a minty and spicy end.
Comment
A biggish-bodied Aberlour which helps to lengthen the complex effects of the double maturation.

Description
Aberlour 15 year-old Speyside Single Malt has been aged in a mix of Bourbon ‘Hogshead’ and Sherry butts for 14 years, the casks are then blended together and refilled into a new sherry cask to achieve a unique finish. Demonstrating the perfect harmony of the Distiller’s art and Blender’s skill, this process adds considerable depth and complexity to the whisky.
