2009 St Véran, Domaine des Gerbeaux (Stelvin)

St Veran, Domaine des Gerbeaux (Stelvin)
St Véran is a wonderfully versatile wine and this example shows plenty of charm with attractive, weighty fruit and appealing floral notes. Lovely with poultry or scallops, it is a thoroughly enjoyable and inexpensive white Burgundy.
(Jasper Morris MW, BBR Burgundy Buyer - June 2012)

We take the whole crop of this deliciously succulent St Véran, bottled in stelvin screwcap to maintain optimum freshness. St Veran is a wonderfully versatile white Burgundy wine with plenty of charm and delicate fruit character. Quite delicate on the nose, but with discernible notes of brioche and a light mushroom earthiness. Dry and crisp through the palate with beautifully balanced acidity and body. Just enough citrus punch keeps it. A long, clean finish. Lovely with poultry dishes or scallops. Serve at 12°C so as to enhance the fruit.
