The WSET Level 3 Award is devised by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (www.wsetglobal.com) and is the internationally recognised course that is followed by those entering the wine and hospitality trades. It is strongly advised to have passed the WSET Level 2 before entering this course. A selection of wines will be tasted at each session, offering a detailed overview of the main wine regions of the world. The course also promotes good tasting technique from which to build tasting experience. We cover the syllabus in 14 sessions, the fifteenth session is a revision session and the examination is sat in the sixteenth session. The Examination comprises two units: The first is a 50-question multiple choice paper and a question paper requiring longer written answers to be completed within one and three-quarter hours; the second unit is an internally set and assessed blind tasting of two wines to be completed within 30 minutes. Candidates must sit both units at the same sitting. The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, WSET accredited tuition, use of Berry Bros. & Rudd equipment and tasting samples. Course materials are sent to you in advance after registration and we recommend that you read them thoroughly before starting the course.
