Description

Hosted by Rebecca Lamont, Head of Berrys' Wine School

This evening we have a wishlist of Cru Classé Claret in a range of vintages to enjoy that span a period of 10 years, from 2005 back to 1995. The highlights include Ch. Haut-Bailly, Ch. Cos d’Estournel, Ch. Pavie, Ch. Palmer, Ch. l’Evangile, Ch. Gruaud-Larose and of course, Ch. Lynch Bages. Rebecca will be fascinated to hear your views on the 2003 pairing of St Estèphe and St. Emilion and is also thrilled that she found a stock of her favourite Pomerol, l’Evangile. Of course, it will always be a pleasure to enjoy the classic Gruaud-Larose, the blue chip Ch. Haut-Bailly and luxurious Ch. Lynch Bages.

Wines to be tasted include:

Berrys' United Kingdom Cuvée, Grand Cru, Mailly
2005 Ch. Haut-Bailly, Pessac Léognan
2003 Cos d'Estournel, St Estèphe
2003 Ch. Pavie, St Emilion
2002 Ch. Palmer, Margaux
2001 Ch. l'Evangile, Pomerol
1996 Ch. Gruaud-Larose, St. Julien
1995 Ch. Lynch-Bages, Pauillac

N.B. Wines for this event have been chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s historic stocks and may not be available to order following the event.

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Join us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Dinners for a memorable evening of fine wine, fine cuisine and fine companyTucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.

The impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar (view virtual tour here) was so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848.

Arrive at 6.30pm to a welcoming Champagne aperitif in our historic shop, before descending to the imposing Napoleon Cellar for a sumptuous four-course dinner and a myriad of fabulous wines. Throughout the evening your host and the wine estate’s representative will talk to you about the wines, sharing their knowledge and views, and helping you decide which you like best and why.
