Description

This evening is a masterclass on food and wine matching. It will begin by exploring the key tastes in food and wine, and then delve into which wines work best with which foods. While discussion will inevitably lead to food proteins, savoury tastes, bitterness and sweetness, there will also be talk about what you expect from your food and wine matching pleasure. No doubt there will be lots of different opinions but everyone will leave knowing many of the principles that can be applied, as well as the fact that matching is ultimately down to personal taste.

Wines to be tasted include:

Berrys' Crémant de Limoux, Antech-Limoux
2013 Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough
2012 Tres Olmos Classic, Bodegas Garciarevalo, Rueda
2011 Cientruenos, Garnacha D.O. Navarra, Bodegas La Calandria
