Description

When you choose a red wine, do you usually opt for Spain, Italy or France? All have a rich tradition of red wine production, with styles ranging from the perfumed and elegant to the opulent and plush. Anne McHale MW certainly knows her stuff and can describe to you all the typical styles of each country. She will share her knowledge with you this evening via a fascinating selection of wines which you will taste in three flights, each time comparing and contrasting examples from Spain, Italy and France. Along the way you will also encounter some of each country’s best-known winemakers and styles. Accompanied by a delicious range of cheese and canapés, this will be an evening of richly rewarding reds.

Wines to be tasted include:

Berrys' United Kingdom Cuvée, Rosé, Grand Cru, Champagne Marguet
2008 Brunello di Montalcino, Az. Agr. San Giuseppe
2007 Hermitage, La Chapelle, Paul Jaboulet Aîné
2006 L'Ermita, Alvaro Palacios
2006 El Picón, Pago de Los Capellanes, Ribera del Duero
