Description

First of all we will taste a flight to recognise the difference between Pauillac and other reds from Nuits St Georges and Barolo. Following this we will taste a grand flight of three communes from famous châteaux in the 2008 vintage, including Clos Fourtet, Ch. Léoville-Barton and Ch. Pontet-Canet. We will then have a vertical flight of Ch. Ormes de Pez to taste how Claret can age. Following this we will discuss the 1855 classification and taste a flight of three lesser known properties from the Fourth Growths that are on the collectors’ radar as ‘ones to watch’. By the end of the evening you will have a memory bank of tastes that will get you though any restaurant list, discussion and purchasing decision, with hopefully a greater degree of pleasure.

Wines to be tasted include:

Berrys' Crémant de Limoux, Antech-Limoux
2010 Berrys' Pauillac, Ch. Lynch Bages
2010 Berrys' Nuits-St Georges, Benjamin Leroux
