MOORE - A very pretty wine put together from grapes grown in Languedoc vineyards. Mostly chardonnay (though I don’t think you’d guess it), with glimpses of herbaceous vermentino and edgy-appley-mauzac and citrus-grassy sauvignon blanc. An interesting, clever blend, and a good all-rounder.
Victoria Moore - The Telegraph - Feb 2015

WINE_PAGES - Berry Bros. & Rudd have worked hard to source their recently launched 'Reserve' wines, working with excellent winemaker Jean-Luc Terrier in the Languedoc. This Pays d'Oc white is dominated by Chardonnay, with the addition of Sauvignon Blanc and the local duo Mauzac and Vermentino. It has an engagingly fresh yet fruity nose, the zest of lemons and the juiciness of fresh pear and apple, just hints of a herbaceous leafiness well into the background. In the mouth it is cool, well-tempered with only 13% alcohol, and yet has a substantial weight of ripe fruit and texture. Zippy, long and very attractive wine at an everyday price.

The Story

J L Terrier & C Collovray

J L Terrier & C Collovray

Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collvray were recently hailed as Burgundy's Winemakers of the Year by the renowned Gault-Millau guide and are better known for their exemplary White Burgundies from Domaine Des Deux Roches. In recent years, however, this quality-conscious duo have been producing an outstanding range of wines from 30-year-old vines on slopes 500 metres above sea level south of Limoux in the Languedoc region.

The combination of quality, varietal definition and value persuaded us to take the important step of working with them to produce three of our House wines.
