N British Distillery Grain Whisky
North British, a grain distillery, is the only remaining distillery in Edinburgh. It is a very large distillery, producing over 64,000,000 million litres of whisky every year. In 1916 the distillery was outfitted with facilities to produce acetone from maize, and creates spirits such as gin and vodka, in addition to its whiskies.
North British does not produce its own single grain whisky, but instead contributes to many famous whisky blends, including Cutty Sark, Famous Grouse and Chivas Regal.

Description
Founded in 1885 North British is Edinburgh’s last remaining distillery. A high percentage of Maize and Green Malt are combined with a smaller proportion of Malted Barley to produce Grain Whisky, which provides the basis for Scotland’s iconic blends.
This 18 year old Single Grain Whisky has been matured in an Oloroso sherry butt. This influence is readily picked up on the nose with rich marmalade notes, dried fruit and brittle toffee . The palate offers rich bursts of fruity sweetness with coffee grounds and Brazil nuts. This is truly a spectacular whisky.
