White Burgundy, Tutored Cellar Tasting, 29 January 2015

Join Burgundy-lover and Master of Wine Anne McHale as she explores one of her greatest vinous passions and, indeed, her ‘desert island’ wine style. Before attending this tasting, you may be forgiven for being part of the ‘ABC’ (anything but Chardonnay) club, but certainly not afterwards. It is without a doubt in this part of the world that Chardonnay achieves its most sublime expression. Tonight’s pursuit will take you from steely-backboned Chablis in the north, right through to the softer, fleshier wine of the Mâconnais. On the way you will also discover the inimitable treasures of Burgundy’s most famous region: the Côte d’Or. Anne has chosen a dazzling line-up and will finish the evening on a high with a trio of two Grands Crus and one Premier Cru. Please join her as she very selfishly indulges in these stunning gems.
