Description

Along with picture-postcard scenery and excellent hiking trails, Alsace is the source of some of the most varied and food-friendly wines of France. This evening we will discuss and taste a range of wines from some top producers, allowing us to compare and contrast the grape varieties and styles of the region. The line-up will include at least six different grape varieties both red and white, produced in styles ranging from bone-dry to lusciously sweet.

Wines to be tasted:

Berrys' Crémant de Limoux, Antech-Limoux
2005 Pinot Gris, Clos Windsbuhl Vendange Tardive, Domaine Zind Humbrecht
2010 Pinot Noir, Kreuzel, Domaine Lucas & André Rieffel
2010 Gewürztraminer Furstentum, Domaine Weinbach
2010 Riesling Silberberg, Domaine Rolly-Gassmann
2000 Riesling Pflaenzerreben de Rorschwihr, Domaine Rolly-Gassmann
