Description

Join Frederic Faye, guest speaker from the illustrious Château Figeac, as he/she guides you through a sensational line-up of different vintages from this highly-respected property. One of the leading estates in St Emilion, Figeac is located in the north-west of the appellation with its vineyards adjoining those of Cheval Blanc. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in its wines have led them to be described as the most ‘Médoc-like’ wines on the Right Bank, and also gives them enormous ageing potential. Tonight is a rare opportunity to compare a range of vintages side by side, going all the way back to 1979, and to enjoy these beautiful Clarets with a stunning four-course menu designed for the occasion by our talented Head Chef Stewart Turner.

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Join us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Dinners for a memorable evening of fine wine, fine cuisine and fine companyTucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.

The impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar (view virtual tour here) was so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848.

Arrive at 6.30pm to a welcoming Champagne aperitif in our historic shop, before descending to the imposing Napoleon Cellar for a sumptuous four-course dinner and a myriad of fabulous wines. Throughout the evening your host and the wine estate’s representative will talk to you about the wines, sharing their knowledge and views, and helping you decide which you like best and why.
