Description

There is a rare opportunity to enjoy a range of different vintages this evening in the company of Jean-Jacques Bonnie, co-owner and manager of the Grand Cru Classé château of Malartic-Lagravière in Pessac-Léognan. This estate dates back to the eighteenth century and was one of only six to be included in the 1953 Graves classification for its red and white wines. Tonight you will taste a fine selection of both colours over a delicious four-course dinner.

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Join us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Dinners for a memorable evening of fine wine, fine cuisine and fine companyTucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.

The impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar (view virtual tour here) was so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848.

Arrive at 6.30pm to a welcoming Champagne aperitif in our historic shop, before descending to the imposing Napoleon Cellar for a sumptuous four-course dinner and a myriad of fabulous wines. Throughout the evening your host and the wine estate’s representative will talk to you about the wines, sharing their knowledge and views, and helping you decide which you like best and why.
