Description

Today is dedicated to Burgundy. We will spend the morning focusing on the white wines of the region, learning about the intricacies of the classification system, and the different styles of wine produced in the different villages. After a break for our Head Chef's buffet-style luncheon, and an opportunity to see how the wines match with different foods, we will tackle the reds in the afternoon, exploring different grape varieties, communes and finally, seeing how red Burgundy ages. You’ll leave with a comprehensive overview of this complex region.

Wines to be tasted:

2012 Côte de Nuits Villages, En Chantemerle, Sylvain Loichet
2012 Pommard, Les Petits Noizons, Domaine Sébastien Magnien
1997 Volnay Carelles, 1er cru Camille Giroud
2010 Corton les Renardes, Maison Roche de Bellene
2011 Rully Rouge, La Chaume, Domaine Jean-Yves Devevey
