1977 Graham

Graham
Graham is renowned for producing one of the most dense and sweet styles of vintage port. Richness amd sumptuous character are the hallmarks of Graham.1977 offers an impressive bouquet of fragrances reminiscent of liquorice, plums, dried fig, followed on the palate by spice and  mocha chocolate notes underlying the powerful, concentrated fruit cake flavours.Graham

Graham
Quite deep crimson but with an evolved ruby to brick rim. Rich, round nose – seems at first almost fully evolved and yet with a real punch of acidity and, right at the end, quite a kick of tannin. Lots of interest and life. A can can dancer. Complete and with lots still to give.

Graham
Graham is another great Port wine house, producing one of the deepest-colored and sweetest styles of vintage Port. Along with Taylor and Fonseca, Graham has probably been the most consistent producer of great port in the post- World War II era. Their tawnys are quite good rather than exceptional, but their vintage ports are truly sublime and sumptuous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful now, still fresh as a daisy This is wonderfully approachable now, with plenty of depth and complexity, and yet the level of freshness seems to indicate that this will hold on for another decade or so. Not as lusciously sweet as most Grahams, but the ripeness of the fruit and weight of the wine more than make up for it. A very slight hint of spirit on the nose, I imagine this will settle down in a couple of years. 02 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely drinking 2014 This port lives up to expectations. Powerful at first, it needs to stand a fair while and darkens in the decanter quickly, being light at first. It is delightfully but not confusingly complex, with a depth that only a port of its age can muster. This makes it rather good value actually, and comes highly recommended from this drinker at least! 07 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great drop of port Enjoyed a glass from each of two different bottles. Showing a distinct brown rim in the glass having obviously moved on from Jancis's review 9 years ago. Plummy on the nose. Quite alcoholic but very enjoyable. Smooth. 04 October 2013
