Christmas Claret, Napoleon Cellar Luncheon, Saturday 12 December 2015
Napoleon Cellar Luncheons
Get away from the hustle and bustle by joining us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Luncheons where you'll be treated to fine wine, fine cuisine and fine company.
Tucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.
Housed within the impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar, so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848, you will be treated to a truly unforgettable luncheon.
Lunch commences at 12.45pm with a refreshing aperitif to whet your appetite ahead of a sumptuous three-course lunch. Your host will introduce and talk about each superb wine (minimum of five) as they are served to you.

Description
Welcome to our Christmas Claret Luncheon. Come to our cosy Napoleon Cellar, far away from the Christmas chaos in the shops above and revel in the art of conversation, excellent wines, subtle food flavours and the company of your host. We will serve two white wines – one dry for the starter, and one sweet for the pudding. Two Clarets will be enjoyed over the main course and two more will take their places alongside the cheese. Stewart Turner, our Head Chef, will design a menu to match perfectly with the wine selection. We very much hope you will enjoy this special tradition in our especially traditional cellar.
N.B. Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd stocks at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards
Hosted by Lance Jefferson,
Director to the Chairman’s Office
