Description

Occasions to try the five famous First Growths of Bordeaux’s Left Bank are becoming rarer and rarer due to the stratospheric rise in prices of these wines over the last decade. With that in mind, tonight’s tasting is a special opportunity: not only will you have the chance to taste all five of these wines, along with their second wines, but you will also learn about a range of different vintages and come to understand the Bordeaux marketplace and its history under the expert tutelage of your host, Mark Pardoe MW, whose ability to communicate about these majestic wines is second to none.

Wines to be tasted:

2010 Ch. Cheval Blanc, St Emilion
2009 Ch. Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
2003 Ch. Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
2006 Ch. Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
2002 Ch. Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
2003 Ch. Latour, Pauillac
1996 Ch. Latour, Pauillac
2000 Ch. Lafite Rothschild, Pauillac
