Description

Anne McHale MW began her career working with Rhône wines and has had a soft spot for them ever since. Imagine her delight, then, to be able to taste with you tonight a selection of wines that reads like a roll-call of the region’s very best producers. You will taste the oft-overlooked whites of Condrieu, Hermitage and Châteauneuf-du-Pape before a memorable line-up of reds to include two single-vineyard pairings from the legendary Guigal and Chapoutier, as well as Domaine Chave’s superb Hermitage. This promises to be a fascinating and highly educational evening.

Wines to be tasted:

2011 Condrieu, Coteau de Vernon, Domaine Georges Vernay
2011 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, Ch. de Beaucastel
2008 Hermitage Blanc, Les Rocoules, Domaine Marc Sorrel
2011 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Clos des Papes Paul Avril et Fils
2008 Côte-Rôtie, La Turque, Domaine Etienne Guigal
2008 Côte-Rôtie, La Landonne, Domaine Etienne Guigal
2005 Hermitage, Domaine Jean-Louis Chave
2001 Ermitage Rouge, Le Méal, Michel Chapoutier
2001 Ermitage Rouge, Le Greffieux Michel Chapoutier
1999 Château de Beaucastel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

N.B. Wines for this event have been chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd historic stocks and may not be available to order following the event
