2007 Côte-Rôtie, Les Bécasses, Maison Chapoutier

Cote-Rotie, Les Becasses, Maison Chapoutier
Les Bécasses in 2007 is a powerful yet finely structured wine, with intense aromas of raspberry, hints of violet, a touch of olive, rosemary and crushed peppercorns leading on to a full-flavoured palate with an aftertaste of smoky wood, spice and vanilla. Superb.Maison Chapoutier

Cote-Rotie, Les Becasses, Maison Chapoutier
The excellent 2007 Cote Rotie Les Becasses exhibits aromas of melted road tar, bacon fat, tapenade, black currants, and weedy undertones. Medium-bodied, fleshy, and made in a broader style than the 2006, both wines are best drunk during their first 10-15 years of life.
