Description

Gilpin’s Westmorland Extra Dry Gin is made in London using the traditional pot-still method where botanicals (including sage, starflower, lime, lemon and bitter orange peels as well as juniper, coriander and angelica root) are steeped in pure English grain spirit for up to two days before further distillation. The distillation process uses spring water from the Holy Well Spring at Cartmel in the English Lake District. This pure water is naturally filtered through ancient willow-peat and limestone containing a unique blend of minerals. Each bottle bears a unique number as well as the batch number and the year of distillation.

Westmorland Spirits Ltd, situated in London, was founded in 2010 by Matthew Thomas Diarmuid Gilpin, and is home to the famous Gilpin’s Gin.

Gilpin’s Gin is made in the traditional way, using copper pot stills in which botanicals are infused in distilled English grain spirit. The water used in distillation is sourced from the Holy Well Spring, in the Lake District.

Eight botanicals are used in Gilpin’s Gin to give it its distinctive flavour and dryness: juniper berries, lime peel, sage, bitter orange, borage, coriander seed, lemon peel and angelica root.
