Description

Enjoy different vintages from Ch. Pape Clément, the illustrious Bordeaux property which is renowned for both its history and also its ground-breaking ideas. We are hugely honoured that Bernard Magrez himself will be in attendance along with his director, Augustin Deschamps. They will guide us through the dinner, tasting each of the different vintages – including Bernard’s favourite vintage (1995) and wine worthy of a rare 100-point score from Parker (2010) – and talking to us about how the wines develop, compare and contrast. This is a an exceedingly special opportunity to meet Bernard Magrez, to share his table and to taste some of the wines which chart the history, tradition and innovation of Ch. Pape Clément.

Wines to be tasted:
Berry Bros. & Rudd Champagne, Grand Cru, Mailly
2012 Ch. Pape Clément Blanc, Pessac-Léognan
2005 Ch. Pape Clément Blanc, Pessac-Léognan
2010 Ch. Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan
2007 Ch. Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan
2004 Ch. Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Napoleon Cellar Dinners

Join us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Dinners for a memorable evening of fine wine, fine cuisine and fine companyTucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.

The impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar (view virtual tour here) was so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848.

Arrive at 6.30pm to a welcoming Champagne aperitif in our historic shop, before descending to the imposing Napoleon Cellar for a sumptuous four-course dinner and a myriad of fabulous wines. Throughout the evening your host and the wine estate’s representative will talk to you about the wines, sharing their knowledge and views, and helping you decide which you like best and why.
