Napoleon Cellar Dinners
Join us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Dinners for a memorable evening of fine wine, fine cuisine and fine company. Tucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.
The impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar (view virtual tour here) was so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848.
Arrive at 6.30pm to a welcoming Champagne aperitif in our historic shop, before descending to the imposing Napoleon Cellar for a sumptuous four-course dinner and a myriad of fabulous wines. Throughout the evening your host and the wine estate’s representative will talk to you about the wines, sharing their knowledge and views, and helping you decide which you like best and why.

The hot sirocco wind, originating in the Sahara desert, blows through the vineyards of southern Italy and its islands. These warm, sun-baked vineyards produce reds of remarkable depth and complexity, while their higher-altitude counterparts yield whites of remarkable delicacy and minerality considering the southerly latitude. Join Chris for his ever-popular Italian dinner as he focuses specifically on these southern vinous beauties. As usual, a stunning Italian-themed menu from Head Chef Stewart and team will provide the perfect complement to these fascinating wines.
