Join us at one of our popular Napoleon Cellar Dinners for a memorable evening of fine wine, fine cuisine and fine company. Tucked away beneath our shop in the heart of central London, the cellars were once the largest working cellars in the capital. In 1999 they were converted to create London's most exclusive fine dining venue.
The impressive vaulted Napoleon Cellar (view virtual tour here) was so named after Napoleon III, who plotted his return to France here whilst in exile in England between 1838 and 1848.
Arrive at 6.30pm to a welcoming Champagne aperitif in our historic shop, before descending to the imposing Napoleon Cellar for a sumptuous four-course dinner and a myriad of fabulous wines. Throughout the evening your host and the wine estate’s representative will talk to you about the wines, sharing their knowledge and views, and helping you decide which you like best and why.

Alsace boasts one of the world’s highest concentrations of Michelin-starred restaurants – and you won’t be disappointed with its wines either. Though its (often extremely good) red wines are beginning to appear in export markets, the region is more famously home to some of France’s finest white wines. These come in an array of styles that showcase the wonderful diversity that Muscat, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Riesling offer. Because of its cultural fusion of French and German influences, Alsatian wines offer an accompaniment to all manner of delicious cuisine. So come join the ever-eager-to-eat-and-drink Demetri Walters MW in our atmospheric Napoleon Cellar.
