We tend to think of white wines as more suitable for summertime drinking, but in fact some white styles really suit cold weather and warming meals -- spicy Gewürztraminer and Grüner Veltliner, for example, and full-bodied styles from the New World. Those who tend to prefer white wines should find plenty to enjoy – even in January – while devoted red-wine drinkers may find some tempting alternatives. Come along this evening to explore the options as we taste a selection of our favourite winter whites.
