Description

If you’ve always wanted to learn a little more about whisky, be it finally getting to grips with single malts or learning your Bourbon from your blends, this evening is for you. Your host Barbara Drew will make the switch from grape to grain tonight as she helps us understand how different styles of whisky are made, signposting what to look out for in the glass. You will taste a range of styles showcasing the spirit’s diversity, from the Highlands and Islands of Scotland to North America, and as far apart as Japan and Wales. An ideal evening for spirits lovers and exam students alike.

Spirits to be tasted:
The Glenrothes Select Reserve, Speyside, Single Malt Whisky (43%)
Suntory Hibiki, 12-year-old, Japanese Blended Whisky (43%)
Penderyn Portwood, Single Malt Welsh Whisky (41%)
