Description

Champagne may be the most renowned sparkling wine region of the world, but the individual villages which add different notes to the composition of these great wines are relatively unknown. Our stroll through the villages of Champagne will start with a Mesnil apéritif from the Chardonnay grape, and will continue with a selection of blanc de blancs: delicate minerality from Guy Larmandier in Cramant, power and intensity from Pierre Peters and gravitas courtesy of an old-vine Legras from Chouilly. Later, Pinot Noir will show its myriad styles from rich Bouzy to charming Cumières, ending in magisterial style with a mature Mailly. This will be a fascinating evening to savour.

Wines to be tasted:
Champagne Roses de Jeanne, Côte de Bechalin, C.Bouchard (Base 2008)
