Champagne Afternoon Tea, Tutored Tasting, 22nd April 2016

Enjoy your afternoon sampling 12 Champagnes and estate teas with Rebecca, Head of Wine School. You will be welcomed with a glass of Champagne while you help yourself to delectable savouries and elegant sandwiches. Rebecca will tutor you through the 12 Champagnes which will be served in three flights of four. The first flight with be comparing small growers who choose to make their Champagnes purely from the Chardonnay grape (blanc de blancs styles). This will be followed by a flight of one grower, J.L. Vergnon, who also makes his wine purely from Chardonnay but has four different cuvées (Eloquence, Expression, Confidence and Conversation) for us to compare. The final flight will concentrate on Pinot Noir and rosé Champagnes in particular. Following this, Maureen, Head of Wine School waiting staff, will be offering you a delicate leaf tea to close proceedings.
