Description
Although it is a much smaller region, Barolo is often compared with Burgundy for both the quality of its wines and the complexity and variety of the terroir. Within this small region are two distinct soil types and a variety of altitudes and aspects; consequently, one would expect single-vineyard wines to show remarkable differences in style.
This evening we will taste a range of wines from different zones of Barolo and a few from the neighbouring regions to compare and contrast the styles and to discover the influence of terroir.
NB Wines for this event will be chosen from Berry Bros. & Rudd’s stocks at the time of the event, so most will be available to order afterwards.
