Description

Get to grips with Bordeaux as Rebecca helps you become confident with the lie of the land, its sub-regions, history and most significant wines. After a welcoming glass of bubbles, you will try some entry-level Clarets. Following this, we will taste a flight of highly respected wines, each representing a famous commune in Bordeaux, trying to pin down the characteristics of each commune through comparing and contrasting flavours and aromas.

These will include St Estèphe, Pauillac, Margaux, St Julien, Pessac-Léognan, St Emilion and Pomerol. We will also cover how the wine comes to market, pricing and historical classifications. Finally we will conclude with a sweet wine from Sauternes.
